I know of two bands who have sung about war the first is actually a band called five finger death punch who are a metal/ hard rock band. They have made one album called 'war is the answer' which looks like this ------------>The band have actually traveled out to Afghanistan and performed for the soldiers, one song from the album that really stands out to me is far from home.
The next band is rise against they to have written a song on the war in Afghanistan. I'm not to sure if their album 'appeal to reason' is entirely about war but I do know that the song 'hero of war' is about the battle in Afghanistan because I went to one of their gigs in london brixton o2 arena 21/11/09 Tim the lead singer even said that we shouldn't be sending people to war over resources. below are two video's of this song one was the gig i was at the other is the official music vid.
